Genix Ventures has announced that its joint venture company, Softchill Pty Ltd, is to receive funding from Commercialisation Australia.
The funding will support the recruitment of a National Business Development Executive who will be tasked with building the Softchill brand and the commercial launch of the LCP Optimiser.
Softchill develops software that optimizes capital and maintenance expenditure in large asset intensive businesses. The solution is designed to improve the productivity of assets, optimize costs, reduce business risk, maximize operational control and improve decision making.
Genix Managing Director, Steven Godinho said Commercialisation Australia funding will build on the incorporation of the LCP Optimiser in the IBM SAFE Framework and will enable the application to achieve its potential. The LCP Optimiser fills an important gap in the tool set required by asset managers.
”The new Softchill Business Development Executive will start with an advantage. The LCP Optimiser is a unique application that optimizes capital and maintenance spend over the life of an asset and gives asset managers greater control over their portfolio and much greater flexibility in the way they manage the assets,” Godinho said.
The LCP Optimiser has been stress tested at the IBM Innovation Centre in Sydney, Australia and has been validated in conjunction with IBM’s Websphere and DB2 offerings and is fully integrated with the IBM Maximo solution.
