The first stage of the project will focus on the consolidation and syndication of content developed by the RACGP to support the ongoing professional development of general practitioners (GPs) in Australia. The project will also provide platform technologies to other groups of health professionals who deliver online content and manage professional development for their members.
The project will initially leverage the existing platform technologies and content used by the RACGP but will in time allow partner associations to develop and deliver their own tailored content by opening up the technology platform and facilitating the development and packaging of content for these organisations.
It is intended that the resultant portal will become the mechanism and avenue for developing and sharing content and professional development frameworks across all allied health professionals in Australia.
